ENVIRONMENT ARTIST
BottleRocket Entertainment is currently looking for a highly skilled Environment Artist.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, modeling, texturing, and lighting 3D architectural, gameplay-rich environments
- Working with level and design leads to create consistent and compelling environments while adhering to style guidelines set forth by the Art Director
Expectations:
- Proficient with Maya and Photoshop
- Skilled in the areas of modeling, mapping, and texturing low polygon models for a real-time production
- Work well within a team environment
- The ability to work within time constraints set by the Lead Artist
- Demonstrate one or more traditional artistic talents (drawing, painting, sculpting, etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously from the Lead Artist while maintaining the art direction
Pluses:
- 3+ years of experience in the games industry, with titles shipped
- Strong problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere
- Strong understanding of lighting and color
- Solid texture painting skills
- Experience working with multi-pass shader effects (diffuse maps, specular maps, bump maps, normal maps, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to excel in a creative, positive manner with the rest of the team
- Ability to demonstrate solid traditional art skills
- Familiarity with emerging software and new trends in game development
- Ability to adapt your art to our unique style and vision
- Experience developing for consoles
- Strong 2d/3d conceptual skills
