  • Found by Samuel Smith (yup, the beer guy) in 1849 and named Yalumba (aboriginal for "all the land around," which probably referred to exactly what he bought), this is the oldest family-owned winery in Australia. The grapes for their OBV Grenache are harvested from vineyards planted between 1898-1973 with each lot crushed separately, some de-stemed, some not. The wine ages in used US, French and Hungarian oak barrels.
