  • Split from Chateau Batailley in the 1940's, Haut-Batailley became the property of Francoise des Brest-Borie, sister of Jean-Eugene, the winemaker for Ducru-Beaucailleau, who ran the historic 5th growth property until his son took the reins in 1998. In 2017, the estate was purchased by the Cazes (Lynch-Bages) family. Stylistically, Haut-Batailley offers an elegant counterpoint to Pauillac's heavy hitters.
