A bottle-aged, Chianti Riserva deserves a classic pairing.

Start with ribollita- a Tuscan vegetable and bread soup,

followed by brasato vitello (braised veal)

or osso bucco with cannellini beans and fennel.

Il Palazzino has been owned and run by the Sderci family since the mid-1800's. For their Grosso Senese, they prune each limestone-planted vine to a maximum of 6 buds, hand-harvest, and ferment the grapes in 5000L oak barrels. The wines are transferred to French Alliers barriques, 30% of which are new, where it matures for a year and a half. After that, the wine rests in bottle for 6 months before release.
