  • The fastidiously spotless Elvio Cogno winery sits atop of Bricco Ravera, a hill near Novello, in Langhe's Barolo country. It's owned and run by winemaker Valter Fissore and his wife, Nadia Cogno (Elvio's daughter.) The grapes for Bricco Pernice are culled from a 5 acre plot of 20 and 65 year old vines, fermented in steel, aged 30 months in large Slavonian oak and rested 18 more in bottle.
